Abstract
A holographic method using an He-Ne gas laser was described. the interference fringes in double-exposure holography were used to study the elastic deformation of soldered gold structures. the investigation was performed on ten specimens, defects having been produced artificially in the soldered joints of five, and on ten three-unit dental bridges, five of which already had superficial defects in the soldered joints. the specimens were loaded and double-exposure holograms were taken. the elastic deformation was determined from the holodiagram and calculations of the number of interference fringes. the results indicate a greater elastic deformation at small loads in the specimens which had defects in the soldered joints. Keywords
