Abstract
The GSH peroxidase (EC 1.11.1.9) activity in tissues (lung, stomach, plasma, erythrocyte) and intracellular fractions of vitamin E-deficient mice was investigated and the nutritional relationship between vitamin E and GSH peroxidase was discussed. The possibility that the vitamin E deficiency symptoms through oxidant or lipid peroxide damages are attributable to the decreased activity of GSH peroxidase was found. This publication has 4 references indexed in Scilit:
