Abstract
A model of light scattering by large rough particles is proposed which is based on the high-energy approximation, the laws of geometrical optics and a mathematical description of the properties of the particles roughness. The calculated intensities and polarizations as functions of scattering angles agree well with experimental results except in the case of metallic particles. Keywords
