Abstract
A patient with unilateral ureteral obstruction at the ureteropelvic junction had hypertension of one year's duration. Increased activity of the renin-angiotensin system was documented by means of renal vein renin concentrations. Following relief of the obstruction, the patient became normotensive and has remained so for the last two years. Keywords
