Abstract
The optimum conditions for the chelation of various transition metal ions have been established using a series of poly(hydroxamic acid) chelating resins. The selectivity for ZnII and CdII in various electrolytic media of different ionic strengths was studied over the pH range 1–6 by a batch equilibration method. Analytical applications of these resins to chromatographic separations of metal ion mixtures are discussed. Keywords
