Abstract
The tissue-cutting ability of ultrasonic waves takes on practical significance in two instruments: the ultrasonic cavitational aspiratory and the ultrasonically activated scalpel. An understanding of the basic principles involved and the manner in which these instruments function illustrates their advantages in many situations over commonly used electro- and laser surgical techniques. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
