Abstract
Infection by Microsporum gypseum was found in 6 young chamois (Rupicapra rupicapra) in captivity and 1 wild chamois. The lesions were located on the head, neck and back. There was little invasion of the hair. This is the first report of the isolation of M. gypseum from animals in Rumania. Keywords
