Fluorometric Determination of Water-Soluble Vitamin K Compounds

Abstract
Fluorometric methods for the quantitative analysis of menadione and the various water-soluble forms of vitamin K are reported. The methods involve chemical conversion to phenolic species (hydroquinones, Michaël-addit ion products and aminonaphtols) followed up by determination in an appropiate solvent (butylacetate, alcohol). Detection and determination limits are indicated.
