PLASMA PROGESTERONE CONCENTRATIONS AS AN INDEX OF OVULATION AND CORPUS LUTEUM FUNCTION IN NORMAL AND GONADOTROPHIN‐STIMULATED MENSTRUAL CYCLES

Abstract
Summary: The occurrence of ovulation cab be deduced and corpus luteum function assessed in spontaneous and gonadotrophin‐induced menstrual cycles by appropriately timed plasma progesterone estimations. A screening procedure is suggested for the selection of suspect menstrual cycles requiring more detailed study of the luteal phase.
