Abstract
The authors present an efficient algorithm to determine the backbone (the current-carrying part of a lattice) in the random resistor network problem. It reduces mainly to the determination of the cluster structure on two lattices. Its efficiency is due to the use of the dual lattice and, therefore, is specific to the two-dimensional case. Keywords
