Abstract
Stenosing tenovaginitis is a condition in which a narrowing of the synovial tendon sheath occurs. Usually there are no macroscopic or microscopic changes in the tendon or in the synovium. The sheath is usually macroscopically thickened but microscopically normal. Three cases of stenosing peroneal tenovaginitis, 1 bilateral, are presented. In 2 of the patients tenography was used to confirm the diagnosis. The structure of the peroneal tendon sheaths is reviewed, and the successful outcome of tenolysis is described. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
