Abstract
We report on transient photoconductivity in oriented trans-polyacetylene. Using a cross-correlation method we have improved the time resolution to less than 20 ps. We find a fast decaying photocurrent within our resolution limit from which we deduce a high initial mobility of the charge carriers. Keywords
