Abstract
Resistance to Biotype C Schizaphis graminum (Rondani) was identified in synthetic hexaploid wheats. Triticum tauschii (Coss.) Schmal var. strangulata and T. tauschii var. typica were sources of resistance in the synthetic hexaploid wheat tested. Resistance from typica was dominant and that from strangulata was incompletely dominant. Genes for resistance from the 2 sources may differ. Greenbug resistance from T. tauschii var. strangulata and ‘Amigo’ wheat (derived from rye) were controlled by different genes. The 18 synthetic hexaploids were found to be susceptible to Erysiphe graminis DC f. sp. tritici Em. Marchal, Puccinia recondita Rob. ex Desm. f. sp. tritici Eriks, and wheat streak mosaic virus. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
