Abstract
Six naturally occurring diseases of lower animals are discussed in relation to their ultimate value as experimental models of human disease. In the ideal animal model, a specific auto-immune disease develops spontaneously and runs its full course within a relatively short period. Use of these models may help clarify the relationships between auto-immunity, neoplasia and infectious disease. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
