Abstract
The preparation condictions, formation processes and superconducting properties of the materials in a Tl-Pb-Sr-Ca-Cu-O system have been investigated. The superconducting properties are found to depend strongly on the starting composition and heating time as well as the heating temperature. There are at least two superconducting phases with T c's at 80 and 120 K. The 80 K T c phase is formed in a short amount of time and then changes to the 120 K T c phase after prolonged heating periods. Keywords
