Abstract
Motile species studied include Acetobacter aceti, A. pasteurianum, A. rancens, A. melanogenum and A. oxy-dans. All motile cultures of Acetobacter have polar flagellation. Motility was so markedly influenced by the nature of the medium, temp. of incubation, incubation period and other factors that the author concurs with the opinion of Beijerinck (1911), who thought that if proper conditions were found, all acetic acid bacteria would be found motile. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
