Abstract
Although the Survey of Fertilizer Practice has already covered a period of major and rapid change in agriculture, the rate of technical innovation and hence the demands made upon the industry will undoubtedly increase in the future and there will be an even greater need for the information it provides. The Survey has the background, depth and range of coverage to monitor fertilizer use, and thus help to ensure that in England & Wales the agricultural potential of the 1980s is achieved. Keywords
