Abstract
Mode matching and segmented duct analytical models have been developed to take advantage of relative placement of liner segments in the design of optimal duct acoustic liners of one, two, and three segments. This paper presents experimental results which were obtained for liners installed in a rectangular duct for the case with no mean airflow through the duct. Excellent correlation is shown between the analytical and experimental data, thus verifying the analytical procedures used to design the optimum segmented lining configurations. Keywords
