Abstract
Amyloid nephropathy was the presenting symptom in a case of Familial Mediterranean Fever (FMF). As recent progress in molecular pathology permits the detection of asymptomatic FMF individuals, it is suggested that relevant cases of renal amyloidosis should be tested for FMF mutations.Keywords
