Abstract
An advance in the development of a new HID lamp has been accomplished. It has a luminous efficacy of 130 lm/W with a CRI of 67—a source color of sunlight at sea level—and a correlated color temperature of about 5100 K. Results of experimental lamp operation promise satisfactory maintenance of light output and adequate lamp life. Keywords
