Abstract
The structures of pure and doped Cds films containing different ratios of cadmium to sulphur ions, prepared by the chemical spray deposition process, have been investigated by X-ray diffraction. It is found that the crystalline perfection is best when the cadmium to sulphur ion ratio is 1 : 3 and the substrate temperature is 500°C. The preferred orientation of crystallites undergoes a change on doping with Cu and In, but not with Ga.Keywords
