Abstract
Two young children are described in whom chronic diarrhea associated with the presence of Clostridium difficile toxin responded to treatment with oral van comycin. C. difficile infection should be considered in the evaluation of young children with diarrhea who fail to gain weight, even in the absence of prior antibiotic treatment. Keywords
