Über die Aktivität der Plasmahistaminase bei verschiedenen Schockformen des Meerschweinchens

Abstract
An increased activity of histaminase in plasma of guinea pigs is found not only in anaphylactic shock but also in anaphylatoxin shock. The activity of histamine in Forssman shock is equal to that of normal plasma. In both cases histamine destruction is found only when the histamine concentration in plasma (in vivo or in vitro) is increased. According to the method of Spencer the destruction time (DT50) for the decrease of 0.6-0.7 [mu]g histamine base/ml plasma is about 1-3 min in anaphylactic shock and about 30 min in anaphylatoxin shock. In normal plasma and in that of animals in Forssman shock the destruction is too small to determine the DT50 within an experimental time of 2 hours. In normal plasma the histamine level remains unchanged without addition of histamine, when incubated for 4 hours. Under the same conditions the histamine level in plasma of anaphylactic animals decreases below the level of normal plasma.
