Antigenic Differences between Endozoites and Cystozoites of Toxoplasma gondii

Abstract
Antigenic differences between the cystozoite and endozoite of T. gondii were found using fluorescent antibody staining. Antisera [from rabbits] against the cystozoite reached against only the cystozoite, whereas antisera against the endozoite reacted against both endozoite and cystozoite. Absorption of sera with endozoites removed only positive reactions with endozoites. Antigenic differences between these 2 forms of Toxoplasma were suggested.
