Identification of Oat Cultivars by Fluorescence Spectroscopy

Abstract
A fluorescence spectrograph that operates in a reflective mode to identify oat cultivars is discussed. The wavelength of the exciting energy is 2400 Å, and the wavelength of the emission energy varies between 3000 and 5000 Å. Three peak and two valley points were identified and correlated with the different cultivars. A canonical analysis performed on various samples taken from six cultivars showed that they could be separated on the first two axes.Keywords
