Abstract
The spatial distribution of two white grub species was measured in 40 Florida sugarcane fields. The highest density of third-instar grubs of both Cyclocephala parallela Casey and Ligyrus subtropicus Blatchley was found from 0 to 15 cm directly under sugarcane stools. Both species were aggregated among sugarcane stools in > 90% of the fields sampled. However, C. parallela was more evenly spread throughout fields than L. subtropicus, which infested field edges most heavily.
