Abstract
By an injection equipment with controlled pressures and temp., double injns. were made into the vessels of 19 uteri (some from autopsy, some from hysterectomies). Forty-two uterine endometrial curettage specimens were examined histologically. The endometrial vascular arrangement agreed with that described in the literature, except that arteriovenous anastomoses in the functional layer of the endometrium were very obvious[long dash]branches of the spiral arterioles opening directly into venous lakes. No such anastomoses were found in the basal layer. Keywords
