Abstract
A brief history of color television and the reasons leading up to the Columbia Broadcasting System color television system have been presented. A general theory for color television, including color, flicker, and electrical characteristics, is also given. Equipment for color-television transmission and reception has been designed and constructed based on these principles. Keywords
