Abstract
Efficient single-frequency operation of an electro-optically Q-switched Nd:YAG laser is obtained. The design and operation characteristics of the laser are described. Feedback is achieved by means of a PIN photodiode and fast avalanche transistors system, switching off the driving high voltage applied to the electro-optical crystal. For pulse repetition rates up to 10 Hz, a permanent stability of Delta nu / nu approximately 2*10-6 is measured. Keywords
