Abstract
A stochastic version of the ‘game of two cars’ in which the cost function is a containment probability (Isaacs 1965) is dealt with. By numerically solving a nonlinear elliptic boundary value problem on a generalized torus in ℝ4, it is shown that a proportional navigation guidance law is an optimal feedback pursuit strategy. Keywords
