Abstract
The repulsive-wall simulation method is applied to a polydisperse system of athermal chains on the simple cubic lattice. The pressure is determined over the full range of densities for two chain length distributions with average length 〈n〉=40. Our results indicate that the compressibility factor is insensitive to polydispersity, in accord with the predictions of simple mean-field theories. The density dependence of the mean-square end-to-end distance is also investigated. Keywords
