Abstract
The Beijing Spectrometer (BES) experiment has observed purely leptonic decays of the meson in the reaction at a c.m. energy of 4.03 GeV. Three events are observed in which one decays hadronically to , , or , and the other decays leptonically to or . With the assumption of universality, values of the branching fraction, , and the pseudoscalar decay constant, MeV, are obtained.
