Abstract
Tetanus immune globulin, prepared from human blood plasma, is effective for passive immunization against tetanus at the time of injury. The possibility that sensitivity reactions may occur after its use is remote. Tetanus immune globulin should not be considered a substitute for active immunization with tetanus toxoid before injury. This preparation has been available for several years, but only in a limited area because of a very small supply of material; however, recently the increased production of the product has permitted its distribution nationally. Keywords
