Abstract
Alkynes and Cumulenes, XXII. ‐The Thermal Di‐ and Trimerization of tert‐Butylallene The thermal di‐ and trimerization of tert‐butylallene (4) in the gas phase has been investigated at 220 and 290°C. Whereas the dimers 5 and 6 are the main products at the lower temperature, the trimers 10 and 11 as well as the rearrangement product 12 are obtained at 290°C. The mechanisms of formation of these allene oligomers are discussed. Keywords
