Abstract
The results of muon capture experiments in hydrogen, deuterium, and were analyzed by comparing the observed capture rates to their theoretical expressions. From each experimental result, assuming conserved-vector-current, an allowed region of variation was obtained for the possible pairs of the axial-vector () and induced pseudoscalar () coupling constants. Assuming as given by one-pion exchange dominance, a limited range of variation for was then derived from each experimental result.
