Abstract
The magnetic property of YBa2Cu2CoO y was studied by the measurement of DC magnetic susceptibility χ using a vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM). The temperature dependence of χ showed the antiferromagnetic Curie-Weiss behavior down to 10 K. The effective moment of this system is considered to be mainly due to the Co3+ spin on the site-1 which is the Cu-1 site in the YBa2Cu3O y system. Keywords
