Abstract
A concentration of 11.5 mg of vitamin E per reconstituted quart of Alacta was insufficient to prevent uniformly the development of vitamin E-responsive anemia in four premature infants. This was possibly due to poor absorption of the vitamin E. In this study, in addition to the hemolysis reversal, vitamin E administration appeared to increase total serum proteins and to decrease methylmalonate excretion. This publication has 16 references indexed in Scilit:
