Abstract
The fluorescence lifetimes and quantum yields of various acridine dyes bound to DNA have been measured at a high ratio of DNA phosphate to dye (P/D ratio). The nature of binding sites are discussed on the basis of the values of the observed lifetimes, quantum yields, and the calculated natural lifetimes. Keywords
