Abstract
Urate secretion is inhibited by PZA [pyrazinoic acid] and the degree of inhibition is dose dependent. In the highest dose tested (1.6 mM/kg body wt per h), PZA not only inhibits secretion but also inhibits urate absorption [in rats]. PZA appears to inhibit both urate secretion and reabsorption. The inhibition of these processes is dose dependent but not necessarily of equal sensitivity. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
