Primary Syphilis of the Tonsil

Abstract
• A 42-year-old patient with an ulcerative left tonsil that was not particularly painful was examined. The routine blood test for syphilis was reactive. The patient was found to have a chancre of the left tonsil. Painless ulcers of the left tonsil in a sexually active individual should be considered as possibly syphilitic.
