Abstract
The propagation characteristics of the indoor channel in two frequency bands, 900–1100MHz and 1.5–1.7GHz are compared. Results indicate that, in the higher frequency band, the channel (i) has more than three times as many frequency response nulls and approximately 1.6 times as many impulse response peaks (ii) has a larger (approximately three times) RMS delay spreadτrms. In spite of (ii), calculations ofτrms in the 1.15–2.5GHz band as a function of the centre frequency of the band fc, suggest that on the spatial average, τrms does not depend on fc.Keywords
