Abstract
To the Editor: We recently observed an electrocardiographic artifact in a newborn infant that was not appreciated as an artifact by several nursery physicians. Even the pediatric cardiologist, on first glance, hedged his bets, although diagnosing the abnormal rhythm as artifactual: none of the observers, including three cardiologists, could identify the nature of the artifact.
