Abstract
The current art of digital electronic implementation of neural networks is reviewed. Most of this work has taken place as digital simulations on general-purpose serial or parallel digital computers. Specialized neural network emulation systems have also been developed for more efficient learning and use. Dedicated digital VLSI integrated circuits offer the highest near-term future potential for this technology. Keywords
