Abstract
To the Editor: The letter from Greentree, "Dangers of Vitamin B6 in Nursing Mothers," in the January 18 issue of the Journal requires comment. He claims that there is solid evidence that pyridoxine inhibits the secretion of breast milk in the nursing mother by suppressing the normally elevated prolactin levels encountered during the puerperium. Greentree further asserts that the health interests of the nursing mother and the newborn child would best be served by deletion of the vitamin from the multivitamins currently available for use by the general public, and he implies that this recommendation is of importance to . . .Keywords
