Abstract
Snow samples have been collected by pushing clean Teflon PTFE samplers in the walls of hand-dig pits from two locations in Antarctica: Hercules Névé and McCarthy Ridge, (Victoria Land). Reactive mercury concentration was determined in 28 samples using the cold vapours techniques with atomic fluorescence detection. Mean concentrations observed were: 0.23 ng L−1 and 0.47 ng L−1 for Hercules Névé and McCarthy Ridge, respectivelyKeywords
