Abstract
Low-frequency periodic pressure pulsations are sometimes encountered in gas pipelines. These pulsations may cause oscillation of the recording pens of orifice meters, making a true reading of gas flow difficult. In this paper, general equations describing the response of the mercurial-type differential-pressure recorder to such pulsations are developed. For the purpose of this paper the system of equations is then linearized and a specific solution is presented. Keywords
