Diode-pumped nonlinear fibre sagnac interferometer switch with integrated silica-based planar lightwave circuit

Abstract
A nonlinear fibre Sagnac interferometer switch with an integrated silica-based planar lightwave circuit is reported. Diode-pumped time-division demultiplexing is demonstrated at 50.4Gbit/s with a 13ps switching time and a 5.6GHz repetition rate.
