Abstract
Infrared reflectivity spectra at room temperature are presented for the rutile structure compound FeF2 and analysed by two methods : a classical oscillator response and a Kramers-Kronig analysis. A weak supplementary sideband appears in the spectrum for polarization parallel to the axis. An interpretation by a twophonon process is proposed. The supplementary band revealed by the Kramers-Kronig analysis for polarization perpendicular to the axis is however not explainedKeywords
