On the basis of the current theory of nuclear structure, we have calculated the (t, p) and (p, t) reaction cross sections for medium weight nuclei with even Z and N. In the nuclear wave functions the pairing correlation is taken into account by using a BCS type function, and the quadrupole-quadrupole forces are also considered in the random phase approximation where the quadrupole vibrational states are concerned. The cross section is given in a form suitable for the DWBA calculation as was done in a previous paper.1) The zero-range approximation and harmonic oscillator wave function for all bound state wave functions are still adopted. The results obtained are compared with experiment for CdA(p, t)CdA-2, SnA(p, t)SnA-2, 2) Cd110(t, p)Cd112, 3) Zr96(p, t)Zr94, 4) FeA(p, t)FeA-2 and NiA(p, t)NiA-2.5) Good agreement is obtained for lower incident energies, while the agreement is not so good for higher incident energies.
