Abstract
The effects of the material anisotropy on the size of the crack tip inelastic zone and the crack shape are investiaged for a Dugdale crack in an or thotropic strip with finite width. Using the techniques of Fourier transforms, the solutions are obtained and largely written in terms of the sum and dif ference of the characteristic roots, so that the results can easily be seen as real value functions for both real and complex roots. Keywords
